Common Problems We See Impacting Solar Performance and System Health

Lichen Growth

Lichen growth causes shading leading to hot spots and permanent cell damage.

Soiling

Dust, dirt, pollen, bird droppings, and debris accumulate on solar panels, over time these begin to impact the performance of the PV module, reducing its efficiency and shortening its lifespan

Improper Cleaning Methods

Using chemicals, pressure washers and standing on panels can all cause permanent damage and void manufacturer warranties.

Birds Nesting Under Panels

Birds nesting under solar panels are noisy, unsightly and pose a health risk. Left alone they can cause damage to the system and create a fire hazard.

How we clean residential solar systems

At Eco Shine Solar, we use a state-of-the-art pure water system to clean your residential solar panels, ensuring they are free from dirt, grime, and mineral residues.

Our certified professionals conduct a thorough pre-clean check of your system, identifying any potential issues before starting the cleaning process.

We utilise specialised soft brushes and pure water to gently yet effectively clean the panels, enhancing their efficiency without causing any damage.

After the cleaning, we provide a detailed performance report and before-and-after photos, giving you peace of mind and optimal solar energy output.

just had cam here this morning to treat our roof and reclean solar panels of lichen - i could see the east facing ones were free of lichen after cam finished - only cleaned 3 weeks ago by another company ., how did lichen grow so fast when i have been paying that company to clean them twice yearly? never mentioned lichen prior and only when i asked for before and after photos, now, today i believe we were delivered an authentic clean with a professional exchange of information ! i asked cam to book us for another clean in 6 months! (neighbours have rubbish vegetation that necessitates bi clean!) highly recommended and as recommended by harrisons tga

Just got panels four months ago... Spring comes and...
Minah birds nesting under them making a huge mess and racket as well as risk of severe damage to a very expensive solar system.
Extremely impressed with Eco Shines professional and prompt service, meshing around panels to keep pests out. The job was done extremely well.
I would recommend getting Eco Shine in straight after a new install to avoid the bird issue entirely.
Edwin very friendly and knowledgeable on the phone.
I am very happy with the final result.
Thanks Edwin and crew.
